Jayna Lorenzo

This is Jayna’s first season coaching at Red Rock. For the past three years, she coached at Creole Juniors Big Apple Volleyball Club in Queens, New York, where she served as the assistant coach for 17 National and the head coach for 18 National. Her most notable achievement was leading her team to a top-ten finish at the 2024 Boston Nike Festival. She brings experience coaching players of all ages, with a particular focus on setting. 


Jayna began playing volleyball at age 10. During her high school volleyball career at Salesian College Preparatory in Richmond, CA, she was a four-year varsity starter and assisted her team to a 2018 TCAL Rock Championship and #1 NCS ranking. She has also competed as a hitter and setter for Hercules Dynamite, Diablo Valley Volleyball Club, and Xceleration Volleyball Club.


Jayna continued her athletic career at the NCAA Division II level, playing as a setter for CUNY Queens College where she is serving as a team captain her senior year. At Queens, she helped her team to consecutive post season appearances, which includes their first playoff run in 2022 since 2008. In 2024, the Knights won their first Regular Season Championship in 20 years and a season-best #6 East Regional ranking. She also serves as the volleyball representative for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Jayna is currently completing her B.B.A. in International Business with a minor in anthropology.
