Leila McBride

Leila McBride joins the Red Rock Volleyball coaching staff with a strong background as both a player and leader on the court.  A native of the Bay Area, she began playing volleyball in 3rd grade and has built her game on dedication, resilience, and a passion for leadership. Leila prepped at Albany High School, where she established herself as a versatile and competitive athlete capable of excelling at multiple positions.

Following her high school career, Leila continued her journey at Ohlone College, competing as an Opposite and showcasing her high-level court awareness, consistency, and competitive drive.

Before transitioning into coaching, Leila played with Red Rock Volleyball Club, where she developed under elite training and in her 18s season, she competed under Coach Leslie Ray, helping her team qualify for Nationals—a milestone that reflects her commitment, teamwork, and leadership.

As a coach, Leila brings contagious enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of both the technical and mental aspects of the game. She is passionate about player development, creating positive team environments, and helping young athletes build confidence through hard work and discipline.

Leila’s goal as a coach is to pass on the same passion and dedication that fueled her own playing career, inspiring athletes to grow both on and off the court.
